7 Reasons to Choose Us

1. Passion first, then profit

Of course it is important to us to grow as a profitable business, but we find that the profit comes as a happy bonus to our passion for helping organisations to retain mothers and helping those mothers to feel good about their work and their lives.

We have been specialising in helping working mothers to achieve success and balance for the past five years. We did not just decide that this would be an up and coming market to “get into”. We have experience, skills and knowledge that have been finely honed by focusing on a niche that we feel passionately about.

2. Pride in our professions

We at Corporate Mothers are committed to the highest professional coaching standards. We take pride in the fact that we are all members of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the only independent international professional body for coaching.

Our coaches are in continuous professional development and have their own mentor coaches. They also have or are working towards ICF Accreditation.

We maintain that ICF Accreditation is essential: For a company looking to choose a coach, it offers a high comfort factor that the coach has the requisite experience, knowledge, skills, attitudes and ethics. Our Managing Director, Amanda Alexander is one of only approximately 150 coaches in the UK to have achieved ICF accreditation.

3. Learning with Lightness and Energy

Whilst we are serious about our profession, that doesn’t mean we take ourselves too seriously. We know that people learn much more in an environment of lightness and fun.

We cover some serious stuff in our coaching and training sessions and we approach this with sensitivity, empathy and compassion. Notwithstanding this, we always work with all our clients within a framework of unerring positivity, with a liberal dash of humour.

These qualities, combined with our experience, skills and professionalism, equal tangible results for our clients. This is a formula that has been tried, tested and proven over five years of working successfully with working mothers.

4. Just in Time Cost Effective Solutions

We appreciate that training and coaching programmes are a significant investment. This is why we have developed products such as our Sixty Minute Seminars™ and Webinars, which can be delivered in person or remotely, making use of cutting edge technology. This means that you can try us out at minimum risk without having to commit straight away to a comprehensive training or coaching programme.

We can deliver our workshops on your premises or your chosen location over a long lunch, a half day or a full day. We guarantee that every delegate who attends these workshops will always come out with at least “one great thing” that will make a positive difference when put into action.

5. Real Corporate Backgrounds

Each of us at Corporate Mothers has worked for various sizes of organisations prior to becoming coaches or trainers. We think that it is important that we have lived and breathed the cultures, practices and quirks of different sized companies.

We maintain that a great part of our value is to provide a fresh objective view, whilst knowing that we need to understand your organisation’s drivers and objectives. Through this approach, we complement and support what you want to achieve.

6. One Woman at a Time, not One Size Fits All

We treat every woman as an individual in our coaching programmes, and whilst we come armed with a toolkit of tried and tested techniques and shortcuts for better balance, we do not preach a “one size fits all” solution to our clients. We understand that your company will have policies and procedures and we work within these boundaries. We are skilled at helping individuals build their own personal support mechanisms within the parameters of your company policies.

7. The Media’s Choice of Expert

Our Managing Director, Amanda Alexander, is sought after by the media as an expert for all topics mother-related. Amanda regularly comments and provides copy for features relating to working mothers, work life balance, guilt, confidence and all the myriad of “issues” that mothers encounter. If it’s related to working mothers, it’s likely that Amanda has been interviewed about it or written about it.

A few of the publications in which Amanda has featured are:
