Sixty Minute Seminars™ and Webinars

Our Sixty Minute Seminars™ are fresh, innovative and unique to Corporate Mothers. Each of our seminars is (as you’d guess!) approximately 60 minutes long. They are ideal for lunchtime learning, conferences, and breakfast meetings, and as components of employee wellbeing programmes.

If you would like to run these as virtual seminars, we can deliver our Sixty Minute Seminars™ via tele-conferencing and/or webinar, using our facilities or your own. Our Sixty Minute Seminars™ are delivered by our Director, Amanda Alexander. Amanda is an experienced public speaker and her style is warm, open, practical, down to earth and humorous.

Here is a selection of our 60 minute seminars. If you have something else in mind, ask us. If it’s within our area of experience and expertise, we’ll develop it with no cost to you for our development time.

All intellectual property rights remain with Corporate Mothers.

Our 60 minute seminars are a great way for your organisation to sample our services and delivery style, whilst also serving as an innovative and low-cost employee benefit.

Whilst the Seminar titles below are aimed at mothers, most of these seminars are suitable for all working parents.

Guilt - The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Parenthood seems to come with a free “gift” of guilt. It’s as if, upon leaving the hospital after the birth of a child, we are issued with a season ticket for guilt (expiry date: Eternity). But there are some ways to beat down the guilt gremlins and we reveal them in this Sixty Minute Seminar™. We guarantee that delegates will emerge from this seminar feeling lighter and less burdened by guilt – at least for a few hours (!)

How Not To Be a Perfect Mother (or Why Good Enough is Good Enough)

We are living in a time of anxiety as mothers. We are bombarded with “experts” telling us how we should be parenting; by studies claiming that we are damaging our children by working and/or putting them into childcare. It seems that there is more pressure now to be “Superwoman” than in the 1980s when the book of the same title caused such a stir. This essential Sixty Minute Seminar™ helps mothers to feel ok about not being perfect, whilst also equipping them with a common sense parenting approach that they can practise – without ever becoming perfect at it!

“Lack of Time” Management

Most of us are on a quixotic quest for more time, or failing that, the latest time management technique that will magically help us become more productive, more efficient, more organised. In this Sixty Minute Seminar™, we argue that there is no “one size fits all” time management technique, whilst also sharing a practical toolkit of lesser known time management techniques that you can experiment with and adapt to suit your life.

Spinning Blades – The Dangers of Becoming a Helicopter Parent

We reveal the disturbing truth about “helicopter parents” – a new “trend” in parenting that has grown in the US and is creeping into Britain. In this Sixty Minute Seminar™, we also reveal the serious side of “over parenting” and provide participants with some useful tips on how to develop resilience and independence in their children without continuously hovering over them.

Get your Mojo Back – how to combat fatigue and drudgery

Being a mother can be a rollercoaster ride of emotions and experiences. There are extreme highs and extreme lows. But let’s face it, much of the time being a working mother can be hard, unrelenting and exhausting. As a mother, you trade “Happy Hour” for “Arsenic Hour”, and that’s just one of the things you have to deal with day in, day out. So, what can we do if the million and one administrative, work and domestic tasks won’t just “do” themselves? In this Sixty Minute Seminar™, we reveal our top tips on how you can occasionally slow down or stop the treadmill and top up your energy levels.
